DRIVELINE SERVICES AUSTRALIA QUALITY ASSURANCE MANUAL EXTRACT
5.3.1 WARRANTY POLICY
(DRIVELINE PRODUCTS)
DRIVELINE SERVICES AUSTRALIA PTY LTD warrants to the original purchaser that driveshafts, universal joints and driveshaft components purchased from the Company will be free of defects in materials and workmanship subject to the following conditions.
- The period of this warranty will be for:
- On Road vehicles: 3 months or 20,000km whichever occurs first or;
- Off Road Vehicles and other equipment: 3 months or 250 hours whichever occurs first.
- Free of charge replacement of any item supplied by the Company proven to their reasonable satisfaction to be defective in materials or workmanship. These items should be returned freight pre-paid by the purchaser with proof of purchase.
This warranty is subject to the following limitations:
- Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, collision, accident or subject to comprehensive insurance claim.
- Installation to a vehicle that has been subject to racing, speed trails, or any vehicle that has been modified beyond the manufacturer’s original standards.
- Any product that has been modified or altered without the written approval of DRIVELINE SERVICES AUSTRALIA PTY LTD.
- Subject to the above conditions, liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the item proven to the Company’s satisfaction to be defective. No liability is accepted for any transport, removal, installation, towing or other costs.
5.3.2 WARRANTY POLICY
(CV PRODUCTS)
DRIVELINE SERVICES AUSTRALIA PTY LTD warrants to the original purchaser that driveshafts, universal joints and driveshaft components purchased from the Company will be free of defects in materials and workmanship subject to the following conditions.
- The period for this warranty will be for:
- CV Shaft Assemblies for 2WD Vehicles: 2 years or 40,000km from the date of original installation which ever occurs first.
- CV Shaft Assemblies for 4WD Vehicles: 1 year or 20,000km from the date of original installation which ever occurs first.
- CV Joints: 1 year or 20,000km from the date of original installation which ever occurs first.
* Note: this warranty only covers joints where it can be proven that approved boots and grease were used in the original installation.
- CV Boots and Boot Kits: 6 months or 10,000km from the date of original installation which ever occurs first.
* Note: due to the exposed operating conditions for boots it is recommended that they be inspected for external damage at regular intervals.
- Free of charge replacement of any CV products supplied by the Company that are proven to their reasonable satisfaction to be defective in material or workmanship. These items should be returned freight pre-paid by the purchaser together with proof of purchase.
This warranty is subject to the following limitations:
- Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, collision, accident or subject to comprehensive insurance claim
- Installation to a vehicle that has been subject to racing, speed trails, or any vehicle that has been modified beyond the manufacturer’s original standards i.e. suspension lift kits, abnormal off-road use, etc.
- Any product that has been modified or altered without the written approval of DRIVELINE SERVICES AUSTRALIA PTY LTD.
- Warranty on CV Products will only be considered on the return of the complete unit.
- Subject to the above conditions, liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the item proven to the Company’s reasonable satisfaction to be defective. No liability is accepted for any transport, removal, installation, towing or other costs.
- Replacement of CV Products can effect steering alignment. We would recommend that a wheel alignment be carried out after any steering components are removed and refitted.
5.3.3 WARRANTY POLICY
(TARAGO AUXILARY DRIVESHAFTS)
DRIVELINE SERVICES AUSTRALIA PTY LTD warrants to the original purchaser that Tarago Auxiliary Driveshafts purchased from the Company will be free of defects in materials and workmanship subject to the following conditions.
- The period of this warranty will be for:
- On Road Vehicles: 6 months or 10,000km whichever occurs first; or
- Free of charge replacement of any item supplied by the Company proven to their reasonable satisfaction to be defective in materials or workmanship. These items should be returned freight pre-paid by the purchaser with proof of purchase.
This warranty is subject to the following limitations:
- Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, collision, accident or subject to comprehensive insurance claim.
- Installation to a vehicle that has been subject to racing, speed trails, or any vehicle that has been modified beyond the manufacture's original standards.
- Any product that has been modified or altered without the written approval of Driveline Services Australia Pty.Ltd.
- Subject to the above conditions, liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the item proven to the Company's satisfaction to be defective. No liability is accepted for any transport, removal, installation, towing or other costs.
5.3.6 WARRANTY POLICY
(POWER STEERING PRODUCTS)
DRIVELINE SERVICES AUSTRALIA PTY LTD warrants to the original purchaser that the exchange steering products purchased from it will be free of defects in material and workmanship subject to the following terms and conditions.

- Power / Manual Racks, and Power / Manual Boxes:
The period of this warranty will be for 2 years or 40,000 kilometers from the date of original installation, whichever occurs first.
- Pumps:
The period of this warranty will be for 6 months or 10,000 kilometers from the date of original installation, whichever occurs first.
- Rack Ends:
The period of this warranty will be for 2 years or 40,000 kilometers from the date of original installation, whichever occurs first.
- Seal Kits:
The period of this warranty will be for 3 months or 5,000 kilometers from the date of original installation, whichever occurs first.
- Steering Boots and Boot Kits:
The period of this warranty will be for 12 months or 20,000 from the date of original installation, whichever occurs first (Note: due to the exposed operating conditions for boots it is recommended that they be inspected for external damage at regular intervals).
- Free of charge replacement of any item supplied by it that are proven to its reasonable satisfaction to be defective in material or workmanship. These items should be returned freight pre-paid by the purchaser with proof of purchase, warranty card details and proof of an inline system filter (for power steering systems only) fitted at the initial installation of the unit.
- This warranty is subject to the following limitations;
- Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, collision, accident or subject to comprehensive insurance claim.
- The power steering fluid is flushed extracting all contaminants prior to removal of oldsteering components.
- The unit has been installed as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Exchange units will not be recognized for warranty if the fluid is contaminated and/or incorrect fluid is used.
- Power steering fluid and filter must be replaced every twelve months or every 20,000 kilometers, whichever occurs first (proof of service may be required).
- Modification, partial or complete dismantling, tampering or use of any unit for purposes other than those stated by the vehicle manufacturer will render the warranty null and void.
- Subject to the above conditions, liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the item proven to its reasonable satisfaction to be defective. No liability is acceptable for any transport, removal, installation and/or towing or other costs.
CORE DEPOSITS AND RETURNS
Core deposits will be charged for all exchange steering products.
The deposit is only refundable if the core is returned as follows.
- Each unit is returned in suitable packaging to prevent damage during shipping.
- Unit is packed suitably to stop spillage or damage to the environment.
- Unit is returned complete and in a suitable condition with no physical damage (Example – bent, cracked, stripped, rusted or fire damaged).
- Please return the old unit within seven days of purchase date complete with purchase invoice details.
5.3.7 WARRANTY POLICY
(DIFF AND GEARBOX)
DRIVELINE SERVICES AUSTRALIA PTY LTD warrants to the original purchaser that the products purchased from it will be free of defects in material and workmanship subject to the following terms and conditions.
- The period of this warranty will be for 6 months or 5,000 kilometres from date of original installation whichever occurs first.
- Free of charge replacement of any item supplied by it that are proven to its reasonable satisfaction to be defective in material or workmanship. These items should be returned freight pre-paid by purchaser with proof of purchase.
- This warranty is subject to the following limitations:
- Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, collision, accident or subject to comprehensive insurance claims.
- The housings are cleaned, extracting all contaminants prior to the installation of the replacement unit.
- The unit has been installed as per the manufacturer's instructions.
- Exchange units will not recognised for warranty if the oil is contaminated and/or incorrect oil is used.
- Modification or tampering of any unit for purposes other than those stated by the vehicle manufacturer will render the warranty null and void.
- No guarantee can be offered against NOISE if the Crown Wheel and Pinion is not replaced.
- No guarantee can be offered against PERIODIC noise with new or second hand Crown Wheel and Pinions.
- Subject to above conditions, liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the item proven to its reasonable satisfaction to be defective. No liability is acceptable for any transport, removal, installation and/or towing or other costs.
NOTE:
Please note this unit DOES NOT contain oil.
Please use Original Equipment Manufactures oil specification.
Check and tighten filler and drain plugs.
DIFFERENTIAL ONLY
Clean axle tube, oil galleries and diff housings thoroughly.
Ensure Axle Bearings are in serviceable condition prior to fitting replacement unit.
Units fitted with mini spools of full spools are not for road use.
5.3.8 WARRANTY POLICY
(SUSPENSION PRODUCTS)
DRIVELINE SERVICES AUSTRALIA PTY LTD warrants to the original user that the suspension products purchased from the company will be free of defects in material and workmanship subject to the following terms and conditions:
- The period of this warranty will be to the original purchaser of the product:
- Unmodified road use vehicles – 3 years or 60,000 kms warranty from the date of original installation, which ever comes first.
- Commercial & 4x4 vehicles – 1 year or 30,000 kms from the date of original installation, whichever comes first
- Credit at current value of item or replacement only of some will apply to goods supplied by the Company that are proven to the Company’s reasonable satisfaction to be defective in material or workmanship.
These items should be returned freight pre-paid by the purchaser with proof of purchase kilometers traveled and a 'Return Authority Number'.
A 'Return Authority Number' must be obtained by faxing a 'Request for Return Authorisation' form to Driveline Services stating the reason for the warranty claim. (NO
CLAIM WILL BE ACCEPTED OR PROCESSED UNLESS THE RETURN AUTHORITY NUMBER IS QUOTED.)
- This warranty applies to:
- For Springs:
- Defective manufacture.
- Breakage.
- Sagging of no more than 15mm on coil springs from the original freestanding height.
- Sagging of no more than 15mm on leaf spring from the original freestanding height. (New leaf spring only)
- For Shock Absorbers:
- Defective manufacture or components.
- Breakage.
- Premature failure of valving performance.
- This warranty is subject to the following limitations:
- Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, collision, accident or subject to comprehensive insurance claim will render the warranty null and void.
- Modifying, tampering with or the improper use of a product will render the warranty null and void.
- Fully serviceable or new bump stops & boots must be used on applications where these are fitted originally.
- Oil or grease contamination from external source will render the warranty null and void.
- Units showing evidence of improper tightening of the mounting bolts causing parts to wear or bend.
- Subject to the above conditions, liability under this warranty is limited to the replacement of the item proven too the Company’s satisfaction to be defective. No liability is acceptable for any transport, removal, installation and / or towing costs.
The warranty is limited to the replacement of the defective item only. Cost of labour including wheel alignment will not be considered.
