company
background
Established in 1982 as a family owned business, Driveline Services
began as a two-man team in the driveline industry, servicing the
local trucking community. From humble beginnings the company's growth
paved the way to introduce Constant Velocity Products in 1989 to
compliment the driveline industry. This would prove to be an important
decision, with some 80% of vehicles now front wheel drive. As a
result, this sector of the market experienced a boom.
By 1999 Driveline Services Australia was now regarded as a leader
in the driveline industry. The Company was keen to pursue new ventures
with a similar industry and market place. After researching the
market, and acquiring the necessary technology and people,
Steering Products were added to Driveline Services impressive portfolio
of quality products and services.
In September 2000, Driveline Services Australia opened the doors
of a new branch in Mackay, Queensland. The Mackay branch specifically
catered for the mining industries, offering a 24 hour-a-day break
down emergency service.
May 2002 was another milestone for the company, acquiring a
new branch on the North side of Brisbane. The branch offers the
complete range of products and services of the Southside branch.
Driveline Services is now able to service all of Brisbane, and is
now conveniently located to cater for our customers requirements.
The company now boasts more than 50 employees and has acquired a
unique team of highly skilled and experienced professionals in all
facets of the driveline, CV front wheel drive and steering industries.
The company remains family owned and operated and is proudly Australian.
During the company's growth, Driveline Services Australia moved
into state of the art facilities in Brisbane's western suburbs.
The 3000 square metre premises incorporate three high-tech workshops
and a computerised warehouse. After years of experience using conventional
equipment, we have designed and built machinery using our own initiative
and skill.
Pride of place is the DrivePro balancing workstation that was the
first Australian designed and built balancing system. Likewise,
the DrivePro CV Press has been another industry first in Australia.
We have also designed an innovative steering test bench that has
been acclaimed as "the world's first three in one steering
workstation". It is capable of testing pressure, oil leaks,
steering bias, load function, steering effort-feel and diagnosing
all in-car steering problems. This technology has since enabled
new driveline businesses to set up workshops and prosper throughout
Australia and the South Pacific.
